Netscape the "Crying Turtle"

The turtle is Netscape. Symbolizing how slow Netscape is responding to competition, crying to the government about it, and wasting our tax money.

Netscape: Mr. DOJ, my company shares where $80 per share and I was charging people $50 for my software. Now my shares are worth $16, and I have to give my software away because Microsoft is not playing fair. Waaaaaaah! Waaaaaaah! Mr. DOJ, make Microsoft play fair, so I can charge people $50 again, and make lots of money.

Mr. DOJ: Okay, poor little Netscape. I don't understand how this computer stuff works, but I will help you because I can't stand to see a grown man cry.

Netscape is the stupid kid down the street nobody wanted to play with, because he was always getting mad because you didn't play by his rules. Didn't you just hate that kid. Grow up Netscape.
